I'm currently staying with family in my country of birth, South Korea, for the first time in fifteen years. Some of the sights and smells are familiar, but seeing and smelling it all through my now twenty-two-year-old eyes and nose is almost a completely new experience. I've seen breathtaking sights, eaten delicious food, and am in the process of relearning the Korean language--both the Seoul dialect and my family's native Jeju dialect--and partly because I want to share, and partly because I want to remember it all, I'm blogging about it.
I signed up for this Blogger account 5 years ago but never felt a strong urge to post until now, which seems as good a time to start as any! And besides, thanks to a neat little device called a Wibro Egg, I finally have a steady source of interwebs!
This is sort of my customary first post where I explain what I'm blogging about--except it's the second post, haha.
The plan is to post pictures, recipes, and snippets of random information and experiences in South Korea, particularly Jeju Island. I hope you enjoy!
